Aanya, founder of Youth4Hire

Meet the Founder

Hi! I’m Aanya, the 12-year-old founder of Youth4Hire. I started building it in the summer of 2026 after noticing a problem: teens want to earn money and gain real-world experience, but traditional jobs aren’t always the best fit.

I started thinking about all the things teens already do, like dog walking, yard work, and helping people in their community, and wondered why there wasn’t an easier way to find and organize those opportunities.

That idea became Youth4Hire, and it connects with the other work I’ve been doing to help young people. I also founded Spreading Smiles, a nonprofit focused on children’s education and opportunities, and host Will & Way, a podcast where I talk with inspiring young people about their stories and ideas.

I had no idea how to build an app, so I learned as I went, tested, changed, broke, and fixed things along the way.

Now, I’m excited to see where Youth4Hire goes!

A safety-first neighborhood marketplace connecting local teens with residents for everyday home tasks.
